I shop my blog…
What kind of auntie (or blogger) would I be if I didn’t help my favorite little guy find a great gift for his beloved teacher.
I had an opportunity to do some shopping at Marshall’s (highly recommend it for gifts) and I came across this great mug. A few months ago I attended an event at the American Institute of Architects in DC (another cool place for unique cards and gifts) and I picked up the skinny notepad there.
My nephew loved it and I think his teacher will to.
So make a goodbye gift of it…

After all, Maria von Trapp was sort of a teacher (well, governess)….
It’s the time of year where all good (and bad) students need to say goodbye to their favorite teachers. It’s a time of transition and celebration and also gratitude to those teachers who have put up with kids hijinks all year long.
So as the year comes to an end, make their gifts good. Here are my top ten ideas for goodbye gifts for teachers.
Send off your graduate in style…
I love traveling and I LOVE luggage. I think that luggage is a great way to encourage a recent graduate on their new journey, whether it’s going off to college, graduate/law/medical studies, a new career, or that backpacking trip through Europe they’ve been planning.
Overstock has a great luggage guide that I’ve borrowed from and added some ideas of my own.
Get to shopping so they can start packing!

There’s no excuse for not keeping in touch…
A great and thoughtful gift for many occasions is stationery. It can be personalized and is wonderful for someone making a change in his or her life.
It’s a great gift for graduates who will be sending thank you cards for all of the great gifts that they receive and all of the interviews they have with potential employers. It’s also a wonderful send off for someone leaving a job or retiring to encourage them to keep in touch.
